El Centro College students protested Texas state budget cuts to education, which could lead to increased tuition costs, larger class sizes and lower enrollment.  The March 2, 2011 protest supported the National Day of Action to Defend Public Education. Students published a video on YouTube. The story was carried on local television stations.
